Thursday: Cloudy with rain and/or freezing rain developing in the morning, changing to a rain/snow mix by afternoon. Highs in the mid 30s. 1-2" of wet snow is possible.

I'll believe that when I see it.

wellllllll....it hasn't been that long has it? I don't know. whatever. so formal is tomorrow, unless of course its too icy or snowy or whatever and then my mom isn't letting us go....but we'll see.....at least if its bad weather it may as well be enough to do something with. this rainy stuff gets old fast. especially when school is cancelled. or if the dance is cancelled and then theres nothing to do since its not really snowy but its gross out.....yea....ok.

woo hoo, a survey i stole from sallie that no one will do but thats ok.
1 whats1 thing that describes me best
2. what is the best thing about me?
3. what is the worst thing about me?
4. what is the most fun we've ever had together?
5. do you trust me?
6. what do you see me doing in 10 years?
7. do you ever talk about me when im not around?
8. if i had to be stuck with 1 person for the rest of my life...who would it be?
9. would you take a bullet for me?
10. use 5 words to describe me

Amazing! This time its only been a few days. So Christmas was really nice, as always. I got lots of stuff I don't deserve and have nowhere to put, but that's the best part anyhow right? I got the new Shopaholic book which is much more entertaining than trying to write the Great Gatsby essay, and I got a book called Mary Magdalen which is a really thorough history which has sparked my interest ever since reading The DaVinci Code. I have fallen in love with that book and the "Forgotten History of Women" as the author so aptly calls it. Anyway, enough about that.

So I stole this from Sallie but she won't mind (esp since she won't know :) )

Ten years ago, I...
1. was six
2. was not tall enough to reach the locks in the bathroom
3. got mad i wasnt the little princess anymore b/c i had two little brat siblings to add to my annnoying, attention grabbing sister
4. did whatever i felt like doing all day long. this usually consisted of barbies, little pet shop, and playing school with my neighbor
5. didnt have to put up with no crap from nobody

Five years ago, I...
1. was eleven
2. was just starting middle school
3. HATED school
4. had my first "real" date (but it wasn't really 'real')
5. had ugly short hair

One year ago, I...
1. was fifteen
2. was in 10th grade (I miss those days, we had a lot less homework before the days of AP)
3. was really really sick but getting better by Christmas (I hate cold/flu season)
4. went on our trip out west--that was awesome!
5. made some awesome awesome plans for a trip to Mexico that I hope to take this summer!

In one year, I will...
1. will be almost 18!!!
2. will almost be going to college
3. will hopefully know where I'm going to school!
4. it will almost be 2006, my graduation year!!
5. Sallie will take her road trip haha

Yesterday, I...
1. celebrated Christmas
2. opened and delivered presents
3. ate lots of good food
4. crashed about 9:45 since Lucie woke me up at the crack of dawn going "It's Christmas GET UP!"
5. Went to Anna's and played pixtel or something like that with Sarah Cate (computerized etch-a-sketch)

Today, I...
1. could have won an award for being the laziest person alive
2. helped clean the playroom (this was not by choice)
3. read my new book and enjoyed the fire while watching it snow
4. typing this and then watching some movie Brian rented with my dad
5. went to the store with my mom (the closest thing I got to post Christmas shopping)

Tommorrow, I will...
1. sleep in (I'm so glad we're on break)
2. hopefully see my cousins who i a.d.o.r.e.
3. go to the gym with Mom and Sallie
4. pretend I don't have to do any homework over break
5. shower. sleep. be lazy and good for nothing.

Someday, I will...
1. go to college...somewhere or other
2. get a job...doing something or other
3. travel the world and return to my roots when I decide to get married.
4. become fluent in spanish (I hope sooner than later)
5. live life on the edge. you only get one life. why waste it? (obviously this is someday b/c that isn't me right now, much as I might wish it was...)

Have you ever wondered which hurts the most? saying something and wishing you hadnt? or saying nothing and wishing you had? I guess the most important things in life are the hardest to say. Well I know I can say that I love you. No doubt about it.
(^also stolen from Sal, but it's so sweet :)

Woo-hoo! I can't seem to post but once a month! Maybe that's because our internet is acting up again. shock of the century. i tried to check my email ten minutes ago and its still not loaded yet.hmmm...hope no one needs me....I doubt it...that never happens.

sigh. so its finally winter break and we have to have APUSH AND English hw. boo. but we shouldn't be surprised after that english exam...

my email still hasn't loaded.

still hasn't loaded

still hasn't loaded

I'm getting impatient.

WOW! It's a miracle! If you thought my email had loaded you're wrong. But the miracle is that when Sallie goes to wrap presents today for crew, I'll be an only child for three whole hours!!! That NEVER happens!

I would laugh that Lucie and Brian have school today but all they're doing is having parties. I miss those days, we never did anything and it was so much fun!

my e mail still hasn't loaded. sigh...

This is kind of comical because I haven't written in this thing since school started. Well, let's start with today instead of making up for lost time. It's finally the 4 day break. Of course, it would only really be a break if:
1) We didn't have to work on the Civil War project
2) I didn't have to get a family portrait taken this afternoon at 3--that'll be exciting...
3) My Grandma wasn't coming tomorrow to go Christmas shopping (fun, fun, fun)

Anyway, it's better than school. Plus, there are good things:
1) No school
2) sleep in
3) do anything you want when you're not doing something else (that made no sense at all)
4) go shopping on Veteran's Day sales (haha, I think I'll avoid the mobs of people doing this)

So there we go--one more good thing than bad thing (and the 1st one counts for 5).

Here we are, another month later. This summer has just flown by. So last time I wrote we had picke up Lucie and gone to that long, long wedding reception. Since then, Sallie has come home and Brian has gone to camp for two weeks and come back home again. I've been here, and at the beach, doing a lot that amounts to very little. Sallie and I have decided to "go into business" at my mom's auction this year. We are going to sell our stuff--purses, jewelry, ribbon belts and other stuff we saw in stores but decided we could make for far less money. So I've been working a lot on that since we've been back from the beach. We might go back down this weekend, but only if our cousins go.
Speaking of which, Sallie and Lucie got to go to their house today--lucky ducks. But no, Brian and I had to stay here. Brian first had to come home from the beach three weeks ago to get an emergency root canal in one of his "trauma" teeth from an earlier bike wreck. Then when he was at camp, he got hit in the mouth with a frisbee which knocked the composite off of his chipped tooth. Of course, our dentist was out of town, but Mom couldn't have him starting middle school with a chipped tooth, so he has to go to another dentist today. This brings me to my point: Dad has to give some kind of lecture in Chapel Hill today and Mom has to clean out my Grandpa's house because they are FINALLY going to sell it. Therefore, since I have the luxury of being able to drive and having a car, I am stuck here waiting to bring Brian to the dentist instead of playing with my adorable little cousins. But such is life. People that don't have cars don't see how good they have it. No, jk, I really am lucky, but right now I'm also really bored, which is why I'm rambling on and on and on...

But the other eventful thing that happened since I last wrote was that my Grandpa got put in the hospital. We were all sort of stirred up about it because he's been sick for a long time. My mom was all upset because he didn't talk to her. But since he's been back at the retirement home they put him in, he's actually been more himself than he has in the last 5 years. He actually called my mom by name which shocked her, but she was glad.

And while I'm on a rant about my family, here's something freaky. My aunt called my mom yesterday about the new "terrorist threat" that has been published in the papers. Of course, my mom and dad were all worried about that, but its not like they put their lives on hold or anything. Well, my aunt and uncle, who have nothing else to do, were watching the stock market channel all day long yesterday. They were convinced that they need to take my grandpa's money out of the stock market immediately for fear that he will lose all his money if something happens on Wall Street. Of course, the stocks have yet to drop a penny.

Anyways, if you're still reading this you must be as bored as I am because there's a lot of junk here, not really talking about anything of any substance. But I guess I better go anyhow and get ready to take Brian to the dentist. Enjoy the last few days of summer. August 9th is regretfully close.

Wow! It's been soooo long since I updated. School has been out for a month (unbelievable!). It's only just beginning to feel like it's summer! We've been down to the beach several times and back agin. Mom and I went to the mountains and went hiking, shoppinbg, and to the spa (it was my first time, it was so much fun). Lucie has been to Camp Cheerio for two weeks and back. Brian and I have gone crabbing and sunning on the beach with Mom (and Dad on weekends). I have worked reluctantly on summer reading, but I am currently not working on the papers. That'll be about August 8th or so. haha. So anyway, we're home now and there's not much to do, but it is nice to be sort of relaxing. I've been helping my mom plan her auction. It should be a good one this year, she's excited.
